Composition Guidelines
Eligibility:
Composers of any age who:
are currently living in Georgia, USA
are attending school outside of Georgia, but still call Georgia home
have family currently living in Georgia, etc.
or have strong ties to Georgia (we’ll ask about what that means to you in the application)
Duration: 10 minute maximum.
Genre/Style: No limitations!
Chamber music is preferred.
Solo works will also be accepted.
Instrumentation: 1-8 players of any instrumentation.
Note: the more common your instrumentation, the more likely we will be able to program your work!
Submission Requirements:
Score: The score of your piece in PDF format. Handwritten is fine as long as it’s legible!
Recording: Link to an Audio recording (please no video) of your piece: .mp3 or .wav files preferred.
Fee: Your first submission is free!
If you would like to submit multiple pieces for consideration (and please do!) we ask that you contribute a small fee for any subsequent works after the first submission.
1st piece - Free
Every piece after that - $10 per piece [click the support tab to make your donation]
Other Guidelines:
Please only submit works that are finished. Our mission is focused on performing new works, so premieres and works that have never been performed in Atlanta are strongly preferred!
And please do not write a new work just for this call! We’ll have other opportunities for that at a later date!
If you have any questions at all, please contact us and we’ll get back to you ASAP!
